250g of porridge oats
125g light brown sugar
2-3 tablespoons of golden syrup (depending on how gooey you want it)
Heat oven to 200C, 180C Fan or gas mark 6
Put all ingredients in a food processor and pulse until mixed, be careful not to overmix as the porridge oats will lose there texture.
If you do not have a food processor, just rub the butter and porridge oats until the butter is more like a crumble texture, then add the rest of the ingredients.
Lightly grease a 20x20cm tin with butter and then add the mixture, press into the corners with the back of spoon so the mixture is flat and score into 12 squares.
Bake for around 15minutes until golden brown
